Common eye concerns as we age?
Dynamic eye wrinkles occur: With age and as we use our facial muscles to form an expression, often called the crow’s feet (wrinkles at sides of eye). This is often caused by repetitive smiling or squinting especially in the sun and strong concentration where you pull faces.
Eye Skin Texture & fine lines: The skin thins as we age, excess skin may give the apperance ofdeeper creases. Pores, dry scaly and pigmentation and broken capillaries form.
Under Eye Hollows: Under eye hollows, also known are tear troughs, hollow deficits & blends the under-eye hollows to graduate into the cheeks. Shadowing and dark circles can also form.
Treatment Solutions:
Non-Surgical Option: It is not unusual to combine more than one treatment to enhance results or maintain results. In conjunction with one or some of the above treatments, a good eye cream may help maintain results.
Some options range from Laser, PRP (Platelet- Rich Plasma), Rejuran, and some may require S4 medication that can only be discussed at consultation.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a great treatment for around the eyes, which assists in tightening and brightening the surrounding eye area, which involves using your own plasma. The skin will glow immediately, however results are not instant and requires 3 treatments 4 weeks apart, for collagen stimulation. Maintenance is 1 treatment every 6 or 12 months depending on severity.
Profractional Laser/Fractional laser can improve fine lines and tighten under the eye area, stimulating collagen and creating a youthful appearance.
Surgical Option: Blepharoplasty (upper and or lower eyelid reduction) is the surgical option for removing excess skin and or fat. Performed by one of our Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons. For more information refer to each individual clinic.
